Robot's Workshop: A week of cooking!

So, I did a little bit of cooking. I lied. I cooked a lot of wildly fun art! Here's a favorite of mine this week: During a Gartic Phone session, there was a prompt to draw Samus Aran from Nintendo's Metroid as if she were a hedgehog from the Sonic Universe.
This was fun to do. I've had my fair share of doing Sonic fan-art, so all that practice there, plus the skill I worked up, really sets into motion a process in which I can imagine an alternate universe where instead, if SEGA creates Samus as a Sonic character, Varia Suit and Zero Suit, how would she look?
The answer: This image here. I adore the adaptation of the iconic space-faring bounty hunter in the Sonic Universe.

Here's an alt with the logo in black and white.

The process was simple, blocking out the body was an important step, as it allows me to map out the forms of both her Zero Suit and Varia Suit.

I even set up a mood board in PureRef, a free software that allows you to compile references.
I pulled a bit of elements like Sonic's quills, as well as using elements of Amy's hair to represent the long strands of hair on both front sides of Samus. Her Zero Suit design pulls a bit from Rouge's outfit, since both are skintight suits. I considered using Honey the Cat as part of an element for the hair, but ultimately left that out.
While the Varia suit was easy enough for me, the Zero Suit pattern needed multiple references. and just to get the limbs right, I pulled up a reference I was given to help with the Scourge redraw.

Overall, the process was awesome to go through.
I went back to the Wild Strike form of my boi, this time, opting for a different mouth. I even made alterations. This smiling goober.

Open Smile version.

Teeth closed, but open smile.

The extremely sweet goober face. Hard to resist saying no to this lad.

So, Tomodachi Life is getting a new installment on the new Nintendo Switch 2. One of the interesting dream scenarios which occured at the end of the trailer, was where as one of the Mii's was approaching, the twist was this Mii was a giant. So funny, and kind of caters to my interests.

The bizarre-ness of Tomodachi Life, lads.
