Before I start, I want to share with you all a little fan-art for a Marvel Character named Jeff the Land Shark. I kid you not, this was clearly a marketable plushie type of character, but I love him already.
Let me show you the character by letting you view his bio on the official Marvel website.
Here comes the boyyy!

Cuteness overload!
Anyway, the real main event of the blog is the game, Cult Manor. Developed specifically for the Halloween-themed Game Gen Fight Club.
Play the game here, though, a few bugs still haunt this game.
Round 1 - Unexpected Favorability
Now I would like to stress that I was not expecting the match-ups. The confidence I had was shaky, at best. Luckily, I was given a choice. Despite two fatal flaws with Cult Manor, I was given a decision. This decision would decide the fate of the game in the running of things.
I chose to go up against Spooky Manor, not only is that match up on the nose, but in comparison, this game was more polished. That being said, Spooky Manor had an honorable concept.
Round 2 - Semi-Finalists
This round, we went up against a Pong clone. As valiant of an effort it was, it felt undercooked in terms of theming. I'm going to quote Fresh Prince with: He's a little confused, but he got the spirit.
Round 3 - Finalists
Oh boy, this is where flaw number two kicks in. Let me preface this with one thing, my friend Cameron was about to suggest an additional hint. Only problem is, we were so pre-occupied with the bug, and also, Cameron had an unfortunate morning to where he couldn't get up in time. That being said, we pushed on.
Cult Manor and Shadows Grasp were both strong contenders. Unfortunately, the missing piece flaw really set us back. The kicker is, after realizing the game loop was complete, someone regretted the vote previously made. (Dang, to think we probably would have had a one-vote lead.) However, I mentioned that a couple days ago, I set a reasonably realistic goal of getting second place. We might not have won, but what we did win is a lot of respect, and achieved our goals.
To accurately sum it up, I saw this as an absolute win. (Censored vulgarity warning for you all.)

By the way, the R.L. guy is Random Lad, not affiliated with anyone.
